Your guide to the Premier League fixtures for the first day of 2019! Boxing day fixtures are underway and now we turn our attention to the New Year and what an action packed calendar it is.
Betting Preview / Odds for the 2018/2019 Season
Whilst we’re looking at the fixtures it would be prudent to talk about betting at the same time. We take a look at where the teams are in the table as we head into 2019, outright winner odds.
Liverpool, as we head into the new year are the leaders of the Premier League, closely followed by Man City, Tottenham and Chelsea. At 2pm on Boxing Day 2018 only 11 points desperate the top teams. Who will take the title?
Man City are in fact the bookies favourite to win the league with odds of 10/11 avaialble at the time of writing at 888sport and many other bookmakers. Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea are 11/10, 16/1 and 100/1 respectively.
Leicester who are hoping to get back to winning ways following Kevin de Bruyne return are currently 1500/1 with 888sport.
Whilst the top teams have everything to play for over the rest of the 2018/2019 season, the bottom teams have everything to fight for.
In the relegation zone are Burnley, Huddersfield and Fulham. 38 points separate the bottom and the top of the table. The bottom teams have no chance of catching the top of the table but they could still climb out of the relegation zone in time for the new 2019/2020 season.
Not many bookies have relegation odds available. However, William Hill has Huddersfield at 1/5, Burnley 1/3 and Cardiff 1/2.
When it comes to top goal scorer bets, Harry Kane, everyone’s favourite scorer is 9/4 at Betfair.
