Which Team’s Made the 2019 Final?

The semi-finals took place this week with two stunning come backs from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspurs to make an all England affair for the Champions League Final.

Both Liverpool and Tottenham caused upset, with remarkable turnarounds in their semi-final clashes. On Tuesday Liverpool came from 3-0 down in the first leg to secure a stunning 4-0 victory at Anfield. Then on Wednesday evening Tottenham were 3-0 down on aggregate going into the second half of their semi-final second leg with Ajax – only for a Lucas Moura hat-trick to send them through on away goals.

It has only ever once been an all England final in the history of the European Cup, and that was back in 2007–08, when Manchester United played against Chelsea. Manchester United won the match 6–5 on penalties, following a 1–1 draw after extra time.

Liverpool who are extremely experienced at Champions League finals having taken part in it 8 times, winning 5 times (1976–77, 1977–78, 1980–81, 1983–84, 2004–05). They were in the final last year, when they were defeated by Real Madrid 3-1.

It is the first time in history that Spurs have made the final.
