What is the Championship Play-Off Final?

Three teams from the Championship get promoted to the Premier league, the top two teams in the league get promoted automatically, but the third place is determined by a series of games called the play-offs. The teams that compete for this place are those who finish the season in third, fourth, fifth and sixth. These teams play two semi-finals, which are played in two-legs, with a home and an away tie. Winners of the semi-finals then progress to the final, which is a winner-takes-all tie.
